California diner-style veggie burger with alfalfa sprouts and avocado

Look for Nature's burger mix (sometimes just labeled as "veggie burger mix" in the bulk foods section of your natural foods grocer. Recipe and photo courtesy of Fantastic Foods.

Ingredients:

  • Nature's Burger Mix (enough for one large patty)
  • focaccia or hamburger bun
  • slice of Jack, Cheddar, or Swiss cheese
  • butter leaf lettuce
  • alfalfa sprouts
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 1/2 avocado, peeled, sliced
  • hot sauce (optional)

Preparation:

Prepare Nature’s Burger mix according to package instructions.

Melt your choice of cheese on the slices of either the focaccia bread or hamburger bun and add tomato and avocado.

Place 1 cooked Nature’s Burger patty on top of bread with the butter leaf lettuce.

Top with alfalfa sprouts, tomato slices and avocado.

For an extra kick, add hot sauce. Enjoy!
