Portobella mushrooms are the perfect vegetarian and vegan ingredient to throw on the backyard barbecue or grill. This recipe is simple, yet the flavors are potent! You can eat these barbecued mushrooms plain, or make a vegetarian sandwich or veggie burger out of them. These grilled portabello mushrooms are vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free.

Ingredients:
- 3 tbsp paprika
- 2 tbsp onion powder
- 2 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 2 tsp oregano
- 2 tsp thyme
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 4 large portobella mushrooms
Preparation:
In a wide shallow dish, mix together all ingredients except olive oil and mushrooms.
Lightly coat or brush both sides of the mushrooms, then dip in the spice mixture until thoroughly coated.
Place mushrooms on the barbecue and grill on each side until done.
