Gardein vegan mini-meatballs recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 package Gardein-brand vegetarian "beefless tips"
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 cup tomato sauce, any kind
- 5 fresh basil sprigs, for garnish (optional)
Preparation:
Thaw gardein beefless tips, then roll each into a small ball.
Heat oil in a small pan over medium heat and add vegetarian meatballs. Sautee for 4-6 minutes, until crispy and brown all over. Set aside.
In a separate small pan, heat tomato sauce to a low simmer. Add vegetarian meatballs and toss well to coat in sauce.
To serve, skewer each individual meatball with toothpicks, cover with remaining tomato sauce and garnish with fresh basil (optional).
Makes five servings of vegetarian mini-meatballs. Enjoy!
