Vegan Almond Flavored Frosting Recipe

An easy vegan frosting recipe flavored with almond extract. This nutty almond flavored vegan frosting recipe is easy to make and is egg-free and dairy free. Vegan frosting recipe courtesy of Ener-G Foods.

Ingredients:

  • 3 tsp Ener-G Egg replacer
  • 2 tbsp cold water
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 2 tbsp vegan margarine
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract

Preparation:

In bowl beat Egg Replacer and cold water together until foamy. Set aside.

Combine sugar, vinegar and hot water. Bring to boiling, stirring constantly. Cover and cook without stirring. After 3 minutes turn heat down to medium and bake another 4 minutes. Mix in vegan margarine.

Pour the syrup over Egg Replacer mixture in a fine stream. Beat vigorously. Add baking powder, vanilla and almond extract. Beat until mixture is creamy. Cool until hard enough to spread on cake.
