Sweet Southwestern Glazed Tofurky Recipe. This is a recipe for a Tofurky glaze to bake your vegetarian Thanksgiving centerpiece Southwestern-style. It's a little bit sweet and a little bit spicy. See also: More Tofurky Recipes.
Ingredients:
- 1 Tofurky roast or other mock vegetarian turkey roast
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp allspice
- 1/4 tsp cumin
- dash sea salt
- dash cayenne pepper
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tbsp water
Preparation:
In a small bowl, whisk together all ingredients, except Tofurky roast.
Roast your tofurky or other mock vegetarian turkey according to package instructions.
While cooking, baste your Tofurky occasionally with the spice mixture glaze, coating thoroughly.
