Crispy Fried Tofu Recipe

Crispy fried tofu with broccoli

You can eat this fried tofu on its own, dipped in sauce, or, use your fried tofu to add to pasta sauces, stir fries or other recipes calling for tofu or fried tofu. This quick and easy sauteed tofu recipe is both vegetarian and vegan.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • dash pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried basil (optional)
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1 pound firm or extra firm tofu, pressed
  • oil for frying

This Was GREAT, Member aluser

I made this non-vegan using an egg/water mixture instead of the soy sauce before coating it.... it was delicious! We had it with pasta sauce and my husband and I agreed, we could eat this several times a week.
