Mangoes and the raw food diet are a match made in heaven. It's always fun to find ways to make mangoes taste even better. This simple vegan mango shake recipe (or mango smoothie) creates a gorgeous flavor that can be enjoyed any time of day. You can refrigerate the fruit to be sure the shake comes out cold. If you don't want to use ice, you can add a little bit of water instead and the consistency will be more like a smoothie.

Ingredients:
- 2 medium mangoes, seed and skin removed (about 3 cups)
- 1 banana
- 1/4 cup macadamia nuts
- 1 to 2 teaspoons cardamom powder, to taste
- 2 tablespoons raw agave nectar, to taste
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups ice
Preparation:
Blend all of the ingredients except the ice together on high speed until completely smooth. Taste and adjust the flavors to your liking. Add ice and blend again for 5 seconds, just enough to blend the ice in well but not heat the drink up. Serve immediately and enjoy your healthy raw food (and vegan!) mango smoothie!
