Green Beans with French Fried Onions

How is it that green beans with French fried crispy onions became a holiday tradition? I have absolutely no idea, but this quick and easy green bean casserole recipe is perfect if you just have a moment to cook or are a novice chef. Just open a few cans, heat, stir and serve! This Thanksgiving and Christmas green bean casserole recipe is both vegetarian and vegan.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cans green beans, French cut style
  • 1 can French fried onions
  • 3 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 1 tbsp vegetable broth powder
  • 1 tsp garlic salt

Preparation:

In a large pot, combine all ingredients (do not drain the green beans). Allow to simmer, uncovered for 8 to 10 minutes, until creamy and heated through, stirring frequently.
