Ginger Lime Green Beans

Green beans are a very nutritious vegetable side dish. This vegetarian and vegan green bean recipe is flavored with ginger and lime juice for a tangy green bean side dish that your whole family will enjoy.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
  • water for boiling
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 3 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

Preparation:

Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add the beans. Cook for just 2 to 3 minutes then remove from water and rinse under cold water.

Whisk together the remaining ingredients and allow to sit for at least 15 minutes.

Shake once more then more the mixture over the green beans.
