Ingredients:
- 1 16 ounce bag baby carrots
- water for steaming carrots
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 tso maple syrup
- sea salt and black pepper to taste
- dash nutmeg and cinnamon
Preparation:
Steam the carrots until soft, about eight minutes.In a large skillet, whisk together the vegetable oil and maple syrup over low heat. Add steamed carrots, and sautee for just a minute or two, until heated through, stirring well to coat the carrots with the maple glaze.
Season generously with sea salt (it really will taste better than regular table salt, I promise!) and a dash of black pepper, nutmeg and cinnamon to taste.
