Olive tapenade is a quick and easy vegetarian and vegan dip recipe to serve as an appetizer or snack. This quick tapenade appetizer is made with hot sauce and red pepper flakes, so it's a bit spicy. Ingredients:
- 1 cup pitted black olives, drained
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/8 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1/8 teaspoon hot sauce
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh basil
- 1 tbsp dried onion
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 2 tbsp chopped pimentos
Preparation:
Combine all ingredients except pimentos in a food processor and blend until smooth. Stir in the pimentos and serve with pita bread wedges.
