Spicy Herbed Hummus Recipe

If you have fresh herbs sitting in your crisper or growing on your windowsill, grab a handful to add into this easy blender hummus recipe! Hummus is a vegetarian and vegan Middle Eastern chickpea dip that can also be used as a sandwich spread.

Ingredients:

  • 1 can chickpeas, drained (garbanzo beans)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh dill
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • dash cayenne pepper or tabasco sauce
  • dash salt

Preparation:

Process all ingredients in a blender or food processor until smooth.
