Hummus with Red Pepper Flakes

Hummus with Red Pepper Flakes. A vegetarian and vegan hummus dip recipe with a bit of a kick. Serve with pita bread or fresh sliced veggies. Recipe courtesy of Bush's® Beans.

Ingredients:

  • 1 to 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 15 ounce can garbanzo beans (chickpeas), drained
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes, or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup tahini

Preparation:

Position knife blade in food processor bowl, add garlic and process until chopped. Add garbanzo beans, process 2 to 3 pulses or until chopped. Add lemon juice, olive oil, red pepper flakes, salt and tahini. Pulse until smooth. Serve as dip with raw vegetables, pita bread slices, or crackers.
