Tahini

Homemade goddess dressing

My version of the tahini-based "goddess" dressing found in many health food stores and restaurants. If you like the store-bought goddess dressings, you'll love this easy homemade goddess salad dressing made with tahini, lemon juice and parsley. You might also want to try this recipe for goddess dressing with ginger.

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Total Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup tahini
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tbsp dried parsley
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup oil

Preparation:

Add all the ingredients, except for the oil to a blender or food processor and puree until smooth and creamy. Slowly add oil until well mixed. Dressing will be thick, but you can always add a bit more water if you prefer a thinner consistency.

Enjoy your wonderful homemade goddess dressing!

very good, needs tweaking, Guest Kate

It was good at the moment I processed it, but after it sat in the fridge for a few hours, the taste of tahini and apple cider vinegar dominated the dressing. In fact, my husband thought it was a ""hummus dressing"" on our salad and he didnīt make the connection to my favorite dressing. Like the previous reviewer, I found it a bit heavy on the apple cider vinegar and tahini. I just made a second batch and I cut back on the tahini and added in a bit more lemon and soy sauce, and tossed in some fresh parsley as well. It needs to be tamed somehow. I am not going to give up on this recipe. We relocated to South America for a few years and I really miss the Trader Joes version of Annies Goddess.
