Gnocchi with Sage and Butter Sauce

Wondering what do with gnocchi to make a vegetarian dish? Try this simple sage and butter sauce for a light vegetarian gnocchi. Whether you use homemade gnocchi or store-bought, you don't want to smother the flavorful potato dumplings with an overpowering sauce; but rather allow the gnocchi flavor to shine through! For a vegan gnocchi recipe, just use a vegan margarine instead of butter. Delish!

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh sage
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper, or to taste
  • prepared gnocchi

Preparation:

Melt the butter or margarine over medium low heat, then add remaining ingredients and pour over cooked gnocchi.
