Pasta with Vegetarian Chik'n and Bacon
If you're a vegetarian who loves pasta, but misses meat, try this pasta dish made with both vegetarian chicken substitute and vegetarian bacon as well as plenty of nutritious vegetables.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 pound pasta
  • 1 package Smart Strips Chik'n Strips
  • 1/2 package Smart Bacon
  • 1 1/2 cups broccoli, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 red pepper, sliced in long strips
  • 1 small onion, sliced in long strips
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or cooking spray
  • parmesan cheese

Preparation:

Cook pasta according to package directions.

In a large skillet, saute broccoli, onion and red pepper in olive oil for 2 minutes. Add garlic and saute 1 minute longer (do not over cook).

Brown Smart Bacon in another skillet until crispy and break into bite-sized pieces. Add Smart Strips Chick'n Strips and Smart Bacon to the saute mixture, cooking just long enough to heat through.

Serve over pasta. Sprinkle with fresh Parmesan Cheese.
