Easy Garlic Pasta Recipe

This simple vegetarian and vegan recipe for garlic pasta can be whipped up in just a few minutes.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound spaghetti noodles
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onions
  • 1 tsp salt
  • pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup toasted bread crumbs

Preparation:

Prepare the pasta according to the package directions.

Heat the oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Add the garlic and onion and sautee until soft, about 5 minutes. Season with the salt and pepper.

Drain the pasta, reserving 1/3 cup of the cooking water. Pour the cooking water into the oil and garlic mixture and cook over low heat for one minute.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the pasta and garlic sauce. Toss, then sprinkle on bread crumbs and serve.
