A vegetarian pasta puttanesca recipe, low-fat and vegan, too! Pasta puttanesca is a low-fat pasta sauce recipe with capers, kalamata olives and red pepper flakes in a sauce similar to a marinara sauce. Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh basil
  • 2 tbsp capers
  • 1/4 cup sliced kalamata olives
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes, or to taste
  • dash salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive brine
  • 1 14 ounce can crushed tomatoes
  • pasta
