Gluten-Free Vegetarian Spaghetti Sauce Recipe

Gluten-Free Vegetarian Spaghetti Sauce. This vegetarian gluten-free pasta sauce recipe is courtesy of Ener-G Foods. A traditional Italian spaghetti pasta sauce which is gluten-free. Ingredients:

  • 1 stalk celery, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2-3 cloves garlic, diced
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 6 ounce can tomato paste
  • 1 8 ounce can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 2-3 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 tsp basil
  • dash cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup water

Preparation:

Sautee celery, onion, garlic cloves and green pepper in olive oil until soft. Add remaining ingredients. Stir.

Cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Stir again and simmer another 2 minutes. Serve with a gluten-free pasta.
