Vegan Chocolate Spice Cake Recipe

This gourmet homemade vegan chocolate spice cake is made with bittersweet chocolate, cocoa powder and egg replacer. A bit of red wine and a touch of cinnamon add a depth of flavor to this homemade spice cake. Sure, it's easy to make vegan cake out of a box, but this spice cake is really special.

Ingredients:

  • Egg replacer for 6 eggs
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup margarine
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup grated bittersweet chocolate
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup red wine

Preparation:

Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees.

Cream the egg replacer, sugar, margarine and vanilla, then add the remaining ingredients. Pour the batter into a 9-inch pan and bake 40 to 45 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
