How to Open a Young Coconut

Using the corner of the blade, pry the "lid" open. If it doesn't open fairly easily, then the cuts that you have made are not deep enough, and you'll need to do them again, this time using more force.

- Gather your materials.
- Make your first cut.
- Make your second cut.
- Make your third and fourth cuts.
- Open the "lid".
- Drink the water, or save it for later.
- Open the coconut.
- Scrape out and eat the coconut flesh inside.
