This colorful salad, inspired by the flavors of Asia, is a great recipe for raw food beginners to start with, because the ingredients are mostly familiar and easy to find, it doesn't require any special equipment, and of course, it's super tasty! This salad reminds me a bit of a Chinese ramen noodle and cabbage salad, only of course there's no ramen noodles, but go ahead and add some raw shredded cabbage, if you'd like!

Raw flax seed crackers are a popular snack for those on raw food diet. Even if you're just looking to include more flax seed in your diet or more raw foods, try flax cracekers are great for a satisfying crunch. Another similar option? It really is easy to make a raw nut milk, even if it seems a bit daunting, and, if you pre-soak the nuts first, then you don't really need to strain the milk. You can also use this method to make almond milk or other nut milks; just make sure the nuts you use are truly raw, not roasted, oiled or salted. You can drink this cashew nut milk plain, use it in other recipes, or spice it up with a bit of cinnamon or raw carob and sweetener, such as agave nectar, for a raw food treat.
