Happy new year, everyone! Are you resolving to go vegetarian
or even vegan
in 2013? Congratulations and welcome to the other side! Or maybe you're just hoping to eat healthier, maintain your weight or drop a few pounds.
But just how
do you plan on achieving your goals? Making meaningful lifestyle changes isn't always easy.
Using a few goal-setting and NLP techniques, here's a few tips when thinking about making changes in the coming year:
Think positively and make affirmative statements, rather than negative (ie. "I WILL eat healthier", rather than "Don't eat junk food").
Be as specific with goals as possible ("Eat more whole grains and vegetables" rather than "Eat healthy").
Use visual imagery to help your subconscious and your mind visualize and focus on your goals. Change your computer's desktop background to photos that reflect your goals.
If you're resolving to go vegetarian this year, welcome!
