Or do you even have one? Sure, we all love seitan, tempeh and tofu, but recently, I received an email from a

I've tried numerous "meat" substitutes....all of them taste awful, if they have any taste at all. Do you have any suggestions that you have tried that are actually good? I can't find a substitute for chicken or sausage that is edible. Help!Of course, one could respond, so what? So don't eat them! There are so many other things a vegetarian can eat besides meat substitutes! How many varieties of beans have you tried? When was the last time you ate gnocchi? Or lentils? Have you tried freekeh?
Since I love them all (well, not the ham or fish substitutes), I think I'm a bit biased when it comes to offering advice about meat substitutes! What's your favorite meat substitute? Post your response in the forum here.

You may want to try and look at this from a different point of view. I’m a newly converted vegetarian and what I’ve been struggling with is this meat substitute idea. I ordered a couple of versions from local vegas restaurant that were really just terrible. Then it hit me, just make delicious food. Don’t try and replicate meat dishes…just find new dishes that you like…period. If you come at it that way, you may end up happier.
