New smoothie recipes

Just about everyone loves smoothies, but, if you're anything like me, you tend to get in a rut using the same techniques and ingredients. You've bought whatever you know turns out tasty, or whatever was on sale at the grocery store. I've recently posted a couple new smoothie recipes to get you out of a smoothie rut.
  • Blueberry coconut smoothie
  • Avocado mango smoothie
  • Macadamia cardamon shake
  • Grapefruit honey smoothie

    I'm not a big "add-on" person when it comes to smoothies, as I'm not a huge fan of protein powders in general, however, here's a few things that you might catch me putting in my smoothies that you might not have considered:

  • a few chopped dates for natural sweetness
  • a handful of spinach or kale
  • a drop of vanilla
  • a drizzle of agave nectar
  • bit of raw organic coconut oil or flax oil (for omega-3s)
  • hemp protein powder
  • carob or cocoa powder
  • ground flaxmeal
