Just about everyone loves smoothies, but, if you're anything like me, you tend to get in a rut using the same techniques and ingredients. You've bought whatever you know turns out tasty,
or whatever was on sale at the grocery store. I've recently posted a couple new smoothie recipes to get you out of a smoothie rut.
Blueberry coconut smoothie
Avocado mango smoothie
Macadamia cardamon shake
Grapefruit honey smoothie
a few chopped dates for natural sweetness
a handful of spinach or kale
a drop of vanilla
a drizzle of agave nectar
bit of raw organic coconut oil or flax oil (for omega-3s)
hemp protein powder
carob or cocoa powder
ground flaxmeal

I'm not a big "add-on" person when it comes to smoothies, as I'm not a huge fan of protein powders in general, however, here's a few things that you might catch me putting in my smoothies that you might not have considered:
