A joyous (vegetarian) Kwanzaa

Thursday December 25, 2008
Kwanzaa is a fairly new holiday celebration that is quickly spreading beyond just the African American community in the United States. One of the purposes of Kwanzaa is to celebrate and indulge in the best unique traditions, foods and arts that create African and African American culture. Although there's no traditional Kwanzaa meal (such as a Thanksgiving turkey), a themed feast is an important part of the festivities, and the menu usually features African, Cajun and Creole, or traditional Southern foods. That means there's plenty for us vegetarians to indulge in! Here are a some vegetarian Kwanzaa menu ideas.
