To Tofurky or not to Tofurky?

With all this Tofurky talk, I'm wondering how many of you are actually going to try one this year, or whether you're going to cook up another mock turkey, or none at all. Every year is different for me. I'm curious, so satisfy my culinary voyeurism and answer the poll below! Please only answer if you're vegetarian or vegan, and, if you choose "other", leave a comment to explain.

In my family we prepare a WHAM every year. Worthington Ham. We prefer the taste of it to tofurky. We buy it from the Loma Linda market but I’m sure there are other places to get it too.

This is the page for the boxed version but we buy it in a big log form and my wife makes a glaze for it.

We bought 7 Tofurkeys and freeze them. We will be at relatives or we would make a Tofurkey (we made one this past Sunday evening).

Thanks for all the great recipes!

I just discovered the Quorn version of turkey, and baked it in a dish covered with corn bread stuffing. Delicious!

I have to admit, I’m not a fan of Wham, but I think that’s because it tastes and looks so much like the real thing – and I don’t like the real thing!

We were going to buy a Tofurky. They were on sale, but the store had sold out of them! But even though I had to cook my own vegan food (I’m the only vegan in the family!), I still ate well. I ate mostly sides. And I made the vegan tofu cheesecake from this site!

I went to the annual vegan potluck and sampled lots of great food. Fortunately no one borught a tofurkey – I think that foods that look like dead animals are disgusting.

I just eat what I usually eat since I don’t celebrate it.
