What's for dinner tonight?
About.com has just launched a cool interactive new Meal Planner feature to help you plan out your family's meals in advance (this can help with getting a balanced diet, and also save you time grocery shopping) and create full menus. You can also use the Meal Planner to save any recipes that you want to try out later. You can search through all of the recipes on all of the food sites and try out some low-fat recipes, recipes just for kids, Thai food recipes and more.
Unfortunately, not all of the recipes being featured on the Meal Planner link on the right-hand side of this homepage are vegetarian, but of course, it's entirely up to you what you choose to add to your personal meal planner. To search only for vegetarian meals, click on the "advanced" tab on the Meal Planner search page, and then, under "special", click the box that says vegetarian. Leave a comment here to let me know if you like this new feature or not. Happy cooking everyone!

I use a lot of recipes out of cookbooks that I’ve copied into Calorie Count. As I use and reuse these a lot I was dissapointed that I couldn’t use these in my meal planner. Plus it has no feature to summarize nutrition. I’ll just keep using Calorie Count.
