Meet the World's Cutest Vegetarian Kids!

Saturday November 8, 2008
The search is over and the world's cutest vegetarian kids have been found! But these shining stars are no ordinary pageant winners, as they are also not afraid to tell you exactly what they think - and they think it's great to be vegetarian. They'll tell you exactly why, too!

Meet Indie Zimmerman, a fourth grader from Pennsylvania. He may be super cute, but he's not just a pretty face! He's only nine years old, but he's wise beyond his years and obviously has great taste in music, too! Indie loves to eat vegetarian lasagna and fake chicken nuggets. I predict that Indie could have a future career as an ethical theorist, as he says, "They kill animals for strange purposes and purposes that aren't right." Indie, you are so right! He's planning on going vegan on his 10th birthday, so hopefully someone will bake him a vegan birthday cake. Congratulations, Indie, and happy early birthday!

Gillian is seven years old and lives in San Antonio, Texas - a city not exactly famous for being vegetarian friendly. She loves to cook, and recommends using fake meat to make your favorite dishes, such as tacos, vegetarian. So, take a tip from this smart young woman and add some mock meat to your vegetarian tacos. Gillian says "it's really mean" to kill animals for food. I totally agree, Gillian! Congratulations on your win!
