Valentine's Day Ideas: A Huge Chocolate Kiss!

Saturday February 9, 2008
Breakfast in bed, chocolate kisses and romantic wine-infused dishes - here's some lovely Valentine's Day ideas for romantic meals, candies and homemade treats from my fellow About.com food guides:

A Huge (Chocolate) Kiss: (pictured) Use a vegan chocolate to make this recipe vegan. For when a small kiss just won't do!

Low Fat Chocolate Pudding: About.com's Low Fat Cooking Guide says, "Enjoy this rich chocolate pudding as a special treat. For Valentine's Day, put a candy sweetheart on top, or perhaps a fresh raspberry." For low-fat lovers!

Vanilla Cognac Crepes: A splash of Cognac adds warmth to these basic vanilla crepes. Try them with sautéed apples and a drizzle of caramel sauce - perfect for a romantic breakfast in bed.

Wine Poached Peaches: An easy low-fat and vegan dessert recipe to be enjoyed over candlelight! You'll really be able to taste the wine in this recipe, so be sure to use a red that you both enjoy drinking, rather than a cooking wine.
