About.com's Guide to Longevity has reviewed a very famous and groundbreaking book by author T. Colin Campbell, called The China Study or Why Vegetarians Live Longer. The study investigates the differing rates of chronic illnesses and diseases in the East compared to the West and concludes that dietary factors are a leading contributer to a reduced lifespan and several common ailments in the West.
The About.com reviewer gives the book a fair and mixed review, but if you're interested in the way dietary changes towards vegetarianism can give your health an incredible boost, the review and the book are a recommended read.
