I have known about the Hallelujah Diet for quite some time, but have finally begun 2 weeks ago. I have lost 10 pounds and am having more energy and feeling mentally clearer. I am juicing three times a day and beginning to explore the recipes that are very good thus far. Have you read the paperback that just came out this year? It is a great place to start, as well as exploring the Hallelujah Acres website. The invigoration and overall good feeling at putting live foods into your body far outweighs the small moments you may miss the old lifestyle. I highly recommend this way of life; it is exciting!

(3) Renee says:

Three years ago I followed the diet to a T for 6 months. I felt better than I ever have. I lost 30 pounds and all of my fibromyalgia symptoms disappeared and the bone cancer the Dr. thought I had, he couldn’t find! I do not follow a completely raw diet now but juicing is a part of my life as well as much more raw foods and very little meats. It is a hard regime to stay with if your family is not on board. Give it a try!

I have been following the H. Diet for almost 9 years. It’s a wonderful way to regain your health. I have lost 85 lbs. as well as having several health problems eliminated. Things such as: hypothyroidism, indigestion, heal spurs, migraine headaches, pms, hypertension to name a few.

(6) Frank says:

I’ve been on the Hallelujah diet for about 9 years. (Not 100% but I use it as a guideline – I eat very little meat, eat mostly raw foods and juice about 5-6 days/week) While I was in excellent health before the diet, I noticed I didn’t get sick anymore. Like most people, I got my yearly cold, occasionally the flu, etc. I’ve been sick a total of 1.5 days in the past 9 years now, and I haven’t had a flu shot (or any other meds) in probably 7-8 years. (After learning about vaccines from Hallelujah Acres and other sources, I won’t have another needle stuck in my arm unless I’m giving blood)

I am 22 years old and I have been following the HA diet (as best as I could) for about the last three years. I definetly have more energy and my digestive problems have significantly improved. I am now proceeding to 100% raw food, in order to help my health even further. There are actually a lot of great recipies!

(8) Karin says:

I am saddened to see someone create a site to try to lure people away from the Hallelujah Acres website and to denigrate the leaders. It says we are not getting enough selenium, zinc, protein, Vitamin B12, etc. I find it interesting to read that vegetables have much more protein than meats, and are alkyline instead of acidic like meats. I frequently make soups using lima beans and other beans, giving us lots of protein. If we ever come across fresh limas or other beans, we eat them raw. I find it interesting that a scientist friend of mine who has earned over 30 patents for his research states that Americans eat too much protein (meat), and that the urine shows it by being clouded with the residue from it. His findings coincide with Hallelujah Acres that vegetables contain the best sources of protein. As for Vitamin B12, whenever I eat from an organic garden, if the vegetable is above ground and not obviously dirty, I don’t wash it because it will have Vitamin B12 on it until it’s washed. It seems interesting that people who are jealous will try to destroy the work of an organization that has helped thousands regain their health; these people have not shown any proof that the lifestyle they promote has helped anyone.

(9) Karin says:

By the way, the all-natural d-alpha Vitamin E I take contains selenium… not to mention the veggies that contain it….

(10) Marjorie says:

The Hallelujah Diet has helped many people and I highly recommend it as a dietitian , but the reason that H Acres does sell B 12 and iodine and other supplements is that they realize this diet is deficient in these vital nutrients so it is important to supplement the diet.

Hallelujah to the Hallelujah Diet. It does give one more energy. It does “cure” many ills. We only wish we had started this healthy way of eating from the first meal we put on our table as newly-weds.

(15) Sharon says:

I am just starting the Hallelujah diet and I don’t feel I will have any problem staying on it–EXCEPT ditching the coffee. I have tried quitting coffee in the past and get such horrible headaches that it just isn’t worth the pain. That makes me realize coffee really is a drug. Can anyone tell me how to make this transition without all the pain? Thanks.

Sharon,
There is a great new coffee alternative that is making a big hit in the US and is even recommended by H. Acres. It is called Teeccino.

(17) Scott says:

Try mixing your dry ground coffee with decaf over the course of a month – increasing the amount of decaf day by day. You have to wean yourself off slowly. When you’re done, chuck the decaf and by Roma, a barley-based coffee drink.
