Albert Einstein!

Einstein went vegetarian about a year before his death in 1955. Though he may not have been vegetarian for very long, he also wrote, “It always seems to me that man was not born to be a carnivore,” indicating he really did believe in his newfound vegetarian ways. Einstein was a known pacifist who was appreciative of and awestruck by our natural world, even as he contributed greatly to our understanding of it.
